Ayurvedic Astrology Workshop with Sat Siri Khalsa

Please join us in Gualala, where redwoods rise over the breaking waves, for a confluence of Ayurveda and Vedic Astrology, a pair of monumental sciences given to us by ancient India. Sat Siri Khalsa, Jyotish Guru, will lead an illuminating exposition of how the body, mind and soul harmonize with the music of the spheres.

This workshop forms a firm foundation for the study of Vedic Astrology, beginning with the study of planets, signs, houses, aspects and lordships. Sat Siri will illustrate how the paradigm of Ayurveda is apparent within an astrological chart, using the principles of dosha, dhatu, and guna.  The workshop delves into several case studies detailing the intersection of health history and astrological charts, and participants may volunteer their own astrological charts for group study.

This workshop is appropriate for both seasoned astrologers and Ayurvedic practitioners, as well as those with no background in either system.

The weekend will begin with a comprehensive introduction to both Ayurveda and Vedic Astrology, as an initiation for new seekers of knowledge. The teachers’ wide breadth of knowledge will likely bring fresh wisdom to those who are already familiar with these sciences.

Participants will have the opportunity to join in several going-ons at the Pacific Coast Center for Yoga and Ayurveda, including a Kundalini Yoga class, Kirtan (devotional music and chanting), and Aquarian Sadhana (an early morning practice of yoga asana, mantra, and meditation).
